This rugged yet flexible machine is the solution for the optimal processing of HVAC duct fittings. Fast, clean, and accurate, this CNC cutting system drastically reduces material waste and operating costs resulting in greater profitability. Exclusive dual rack and pinion drives provide superb positioning accuracy for unmatched part quality. Pneumatic material stops and hold-downs eliminate sheet movement while cutting, reducing operator error and material waste.

  • Standard 5’ X 10’ cutting area with options for up to 6’ X 20’ cutting area to accommodate various shop requirements
  • One piece down draft table including built-in automatic exhaust fan circuit which is signaled on and off by the machine controller and is only on during cutting
  • Rugged, high speed, dual rack and pinion drives on both axes provide superb positioning accuracy for unmatched part quality. Built-in travel limit switches minimize system wear and tear.
  • All aluminum gantry results in “low inertia” for greater part accuracy and exceptionally sharp corners and notches on fittings
  • Automatic “zero” positioning and pneumatic hold downs accurately locate and hold material on the cutting table preventing material movement and waste.
  • State-of-the-Art PC Controller providing versatility for programming, machine-side viewing of parts being processed, and label generation.
  • Fiber optics link between controller and machine eliminates electrical interference and provides for easy machine diagnostics.
  • Torch choice flexibility for cutting a variety of materials ranging from gauge up to ½” plate.

State-of-the-art PC Controller

  • Using a PC controller is our way of ensuring the latest available technology is shipped with every Vicon machine.
  • Not only does the PC controller monitor allow for maximum speed and versatility, but you can program, edit and load new jobs while the machine is cutting. A fiber optic link from the controller to the machine eliminates electrical interference.
  • The result is a greatly increased production flow with virtually uninterrupted communication. An Office Programming System with options such as the latest in touch screen monitors and an industrial grade enclosure are also available.

ViSOFT HVAC cutting software program for Windows®

The ViSoft software is menu driven, user friendly and set to SMACNA standards. Written and supported by Plasma Automation's experienced team of in-house programming engineers, we are constantly enhancing and updating the VICON program to continue to bring users the latest and greatest in functionality.

Features include a full array of HVAC fittings and shapes with user-defined fitting libraries,  Super Nest and common line cutting for the ultimate in material utilization, time saving DXF file importing including Auto Kerf and Auto Lead-In, and true CAD sketch program...to name a few.
